B.J. was a member of the National Football League as a player for eight years. He was an 8th Round Draft Pick in 1991 of the Los Angeles Raiders. He went on to play for the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints, the latter which he retired from after 1998 season. He was a starter at different times throughout his career at Middle Linebacker and was an exceptional Special Teams player. He hosted the WWL-AM sports radio show during his playing days in New Orleans. B.J. also participated in endorsements for Nike, Champion Sports apparel and Knockout Sportswear.

Since his retirement from the National Football League, he has pursued an acting career, appearing in numerous visual media productions: USA Network series "The Big Easy," "Rikki Lake Show," NBC series "The Pretender" to name a few. B.J. was the sideline reporter for the Texas Longhorn Sports Network for all University of Texas football radio broadcasts, from 2001-2003. He could also heard daily on Sports Radio 1300 The Zone 4-7p, from 2000-2004. B.J. was the host of “Longhorn Sportscenter with Mack Brown”, the University of Texas head football coach’s weekly T.V. show for 5 years. B.J. was also host of University of Texas basketball head coach Rick Barnes television show for 2 years. B.J. also served as a college football studio analyst for FOX Sports Southwest for two seasons. B.J. just completed his fourth season as a college football analyst for CBS Sports and CBS College Sports Network.

B.J. attended UCLA and the University of Texas, and has a degree in Corporate Communication.
