Born and raised in Muncie, Indiana with a Bachelor of Science from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. Doctorate in Chiropractic from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, 1988. Licensed in Texas, Indiana, and North Carolina.
Married 26 years to Kathy Watts Langas. Kathy was raised in Dallas, Texas and was a Flight Attendant for American Airlines for 16 years. Their 22 year old daughter Ashlee is the oldest of the 4 Langas children. She is a professional dancer, competing in Fox network’s “So You Think You Can Dance” in season 3 of the show and just completing a 2 year contract with Bette Midler's show at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. Ashlee is co-owner of Meridian Dance Productions, a dance convention/competition company based in Los Angeles. Amy is 21 years old and in her 3rd year of college pursuing her undergraduate degree prior to starting on her Doctorate in Chiropractic. She also works full time in Dr. Langas' office in Tyler, Texas. Nineteen year old Tim is in his 1st year of college playing college baseball at an NAIA division school in Dallas. Russ is a junior in high school in Tyler, Texas. He is a student athlete playing linebacker on his football team, pitches and plays centerfield on the baseball team and runs the 100 meter dash for the track team. Dr. Langas and family lived and practiced in coastal Wilmington, North Carolina from 1988 to 1998. The family moved to Tyler, Texas in the summer of 1998 to be closer to family. Dr. Langas has also coached youth baseball for 15 years, from T-Ball league through high school level and will be taking an 18U tournament team called the Texas 9 to compete in an international wood bat tourney in conjunction with this year’s College World Series in Omaha.
After completing the Doctorate program and licensing procedures, Dr. Langas has practiced nearly all of his 22 year career in Chiropractic as a solo practitioner grounded in the whole health paradigm of balance in the structure, biochemical(nutritional), and bioenergetic systems of the body. He has attained advanced certification in Applied Kinesiology and completed post graduate coursework in Sacro Occipital Technique, Total Body Modification (TBM), Contact Reflex Analysis (CRA), Soft Tissue Orthopedics(with Dr. ML Rees) and BioEnergetic Synchronization Technique (BEST).
